On Oahu we have a large number of Condos and Apartment complexes. Because Hawaii has swim friendly climate year round, most of facilities have a pool or spa. These can be great amenities that add value and tenant/owner appeal if maintained properly. If not they can become an eye sore or even worse a liability. Hiring a 3rd party servicing or repair company which is familiar with large pool/spa maintenance is key. This pool service company will primarily do two things; firstly they take pressure of the building maintenance crew which may not have the time or expertise to run the pool area properly. Secondly they act as a buffer against legal matters. So rather than burden your maintenance crew and create a legal liability, do the sensible thing and higher a pool service and repair company.
